I can't believe we are at the last weekend of July already! The summer is flying by before my eyes and I hope August goes a little slower so I can actually take it all in. I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer and also certainly looking forward to fall {my favorite season.}

Sweet tooth

I recently starting working out for the first time since... ever.
I don't know if it's the extra calories I'm burning or the fact that I've been glued to my macbook working ungodly hours, or that I've caught up on every episode of DC cupcake over the weekend, but my mind is fixated on sweets.

Quail

Have you guys heard of Quail?
I discovered this brand on Gilt group yesterday and immediately scooped up this silk romper. I'm loving every single piece in the line, especially the adorably styled mini dresses.

Feeling Chinchilly

Yesterday's mani pedi ecompassed a new salon (which I loved and will start frequenting often, and a new color I've been hoping to try.)
Essie's Chinchilly is a gorgeous blend of grey and lavender. I think I love it even more than Playa del Platinum, boasted here.

Made of Straw

I've been sort of obsessed with straw bags since I saw my mom toting around a mini clutch trimmed in black patent leather last weekend. I hadn't really thought much of straw bags, outside of carrying my sunblock and beach towel.
I'm now convinced that I need one to accompany my summer wardrobe on days not spent in the sand.

In the shade

In the past week I've purchased 2 quite large straw hats for myself, and both are leaving me wanting more. I love large floppy hats for days lounging at the beach, but I'd also like something more practical for walking for coffee or having lunch outside.

Bruschetta

Whenever possible, we spend Sunday afternoons making homemade bruschetta. It seems to take forever, but the preparation is so much fun and entirely worth it for the end result. The house fills with a garlic basil aroma and we usually make our way through a bottle of wine before the meal is ready.

Loving Sienna

I can't help but to be completely enamored with this outfit on Sienna Miller.
It's not surprising to me, I adore almost everything she wears, but isn't this just extra chic?

Studded

I've been on the hunt for a cute studded clutch or purse since I saw Audrey Tautou toting hers in the french flick "Priceless."
It's been a challenge, since most beaded or studded clutches look too over the top to me.
This morning I came across these studded beauties from Rebecca Minkoff and now my only challenge is deciding which color and size to get!

Any opinions?

Mineral Fusion

I've recently made the switch from liquid to mineral foundation. If you know me, this is a very big deal.
I've been loyal to Clinique and Estee lauder cream foundations for 15 years and that all changed when my friend Annie gave me this Mineral Fusion powder to try.
My skin has never looked more flawless.










This particular brand is also great because the applicator sponge is attached to the pot of powder, making it super easy to tote and use.
