Close Call
Recently I've been admiring the"Harness boot" from Balenciaga's 2006 runway. I was secretly hoping some designer would update the look for an affordable price. Sam Edelman is the man. These Sam Edelman "Zoe Boots" have just been released and they are freakishly close to the Balenciaga original... maybe too close. I still love the look but they do look like an exact replica.

Seeing Spots?
They always come back, those leopard spots. Whether it be in handbags, coats, jewelry, or shoes, designers leave us seeing spots season after season. I've collected a few of the newest styles in footwear that follow this age old trend. Alexander Wang seems to put the freshest spin on the look with incorporating unique silhouettes to soften the spotty pattern.

Style Icon: Betty Draper
This is for all the Mad Men fans.
How could you not love a woman who makes crazy look sexy?
Betty Draper, played by January Jones on AMC's Mad Men is the maddest of them all. Her sense of style is such a powerful presence on the show, it often leaves me experimenting with red lipsticks, gimlets and cashmere gloves.
While all the women of Mad Men are fashionistas in their own right, Betty seems to be the queen bee with her "always perfect" head to toe look whether she's hosting a luncheon or shooting a riffle in her nightgown.

- Doctor Bags
- Leather Gloves
- Floral Dresses
- Accentuated Waistline
- Headbands
- Pearls
- Red Lips
- White Shades
- Cone heels
Cinema Style: Audrey Tautou
"PRICELESS" or "Hors de Prix" is a french film that was released in 2006 featuring the gorgeous Audrey Tautou.
Synopsis by IMBD
Through a set of wacky circumstances, a young gold digger mistakenly woos a mild-mannered bartender thinking he's a wealthy suitor.
The film is adorable and hilarious, not to mention filled with style! This is one movie that inspires me with fashion every time I watch it (which is about once a month.)
My Quest for the perfect black boot
Its been about a month now that I have been searching for a tall/OTK black boot with a 2-3" heel. One that I could potentially go shopping in all day in and not tear my feet apart.
It's become a bit of an obsession at this point, resulting in many purchases and many returns.
I tried Dolce Vita's Wilde boot which was perfect from the front, but a little bit "pretty woman" in the back.
Then I went for the Report Irving boot which I adored!... but the calf width was enormous on my leg at almost 20" around.
Im not sure which is next but I know I can't stop until I find it.
I love these Balenciaga platform boots that Ashley Olsen wears.
These Dolce Vita Eve boots are also on my wish list. I'm hoping to get a pair before spring to wear with mini skirts and leggings. How cute are they!

Tina Tang's handmade jewelry
I became a fan of Tina Tang a few years ago when my friend bought me a pair of her earrings for my birthday. The hammered silver double hoops went with every outfit and were so thin, soft and comfortable to wear.
I make it a point to visit Tina's west village New York boutique every time Im in the neighborhood, usually to find Tina herself greeting customers.

Meet your Muse
Every girl needs a muse!
Meet the YSL Classic Muse Bag. I am a proud owner of this arm candy in the rich black color, although I constantly dream of owning the grey and the ivory.
The styling never seems to get old and you can carry everything you own in this gorgeous satchel. It's worth the money and looks good as new after wearing it daily for almost 3 years!
Rock Candy.
