One of my fall obsessions includes T-strap heels. I picture them worn with thick tights or bare legs, short skirts or cuffed trousers. I love how they elongate the leg and add a sexy shape to the ankle and foot. Here are some of the styles that are on my mind.

The Mulberry Neely bag in Nude, as seen on Gossip Girl this week, has me dreaming of creamy nude patent leather for fall.
Named after Neely O'Hara, a character from my all time favorite novel, Valley of the Dolls, this bag is structured and luxurious at the same time.

I'm searching for a more affordable alternative to this masterpiece { if it can't be found, this one is heading to #1 of the wish list}.. suggestions are welcome!

Zara September lookbook

Chunky knit scarves, sweater dresses, flowy cotton skirts and crisp wool coats are flooding the floor of Zara this month. And it's almost the right temperature in New York to wear them all!

Vegetable Pesto Salad

Last night's dinner started out as a recipe by mom made for us over the weekend, and turned into something much simpler but just as delicious. My plan was to make her stir fry that included shrimp, broccoli, red and yellow peppers and mushrooms tossed in homemade pesto and served over spaghetti.
As I started cooking, I decided to swap the shrimp for grilled chicken and eliminate the pasta.
If you're looking for a very quick and healthy meal.. this is it!













Recipe:
2 bunches broccoli
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
1 green pepper
1 box portobello mushrooms
1/2 lb chicken, seasoned with salt, pepper and olive oil and grilled.

Pesto:
2 cups fresh basil
2 gloves garlic
1/4 cup good olive oil
1/4 cup pine nuts
blend in food processor and serve.

Fuschia lips, matte skin and a touch of mascara has me swooning from the DVF show this week. I love the retro look of round tinted glasses and berry lips. I think it could work for fall too!

Just Desserts

Last night as my husband and I went for our night time stroll to the highline park, we came across a truck reading "FREE DESSERTS," a promotion for Bravo's new show Top Chef's Just Desserts.
Sweets were flowing as Bravo reps served up ice cream, truffles, cupcakes and milkshakes...right there on west 16th street. It got even better when I realized the cupcakes were from my favorite bakery, Billy's. Needless to say we stocked up, but before you decide we are total pigs, we shared some of these treats with our doorman :)
